In my spare time...
some of the spare time...I can be a crafty lady. I especially enjoy crocheting and knitting; it's one of those simple joys that relaxes me. I decided to try and document and share that here. Love hearing any comments! Away we go!
Late post - Made myself a magnetic chalkboard and glued it to my bookshelf.
My latest iPhone case is awesome; it does exactly what I need it to do: protect my iPhone from my constant clumsiness. But besides that, it also doubles as an ID case, so most of the time I can just slip my phone in my pocket and walk out the door.
Most recently, I’ve gotten an new job that requires more frequent bus trips into the City (yes!!) PLUS my awesome BF got me an awesome pass = free public transport for me! —- Which also meant, I needed a new wallet to carry it all.
I crafted it using black corduroy fabric for the outside, and felt for the inside (the lining, card slots, and cash pocket). Then I took a cheap luggage tag at a craft store to use to hold my ID, and added velcro to hold it all together! Heat ‘n’ bond and Peel ‘n’ stick to put everything together…super awesome.
The day I began to feel a little relief from my back, I needed to craft! So, this was my first attempt at crafting myself a fabric book cover - based on the size of the current book I’m reading, Game of Thrones. I don’t think it turned out too shabby at all! There are a few mental notes I think I made to myself (which I’ll need to actually write down, so I don’t forget), but I also think maybe it’d just make more sense to craft an iPad cover, mostly to encourage Andrew to get us one! lol
A DIY dry-erase weekly planner I made yesterday featuring LSP and Tree Trunks from Adventure Time!
